By participating, all participants in the JetBrains Academy Incentive Contest (the "Contest") agree to the following terms and conditions:

1) ORGANIZER: JetBrains s.r.o., Na Hrebenech II 1718/8, Prague 4, 14700, Czech Republic.

2) SCHEDULE:

a) The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. on September 8, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on October 8, 2025.

b) Entries submitted before the start date or after the end date will not be considered.

c) The winners will be announced the latest on November 1, 2025, and each winner will be notified by email.

3) ELIGIBILITY:

a) The Contest is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older and are the owners of an active JetBrains Student License. Participants who are minors in their country of residence may participate only with the prior consent of their parent or legal guardian, where required by applicable law.

b) It is void where prohibited by applicable law.

c) Each participant is eligible to win only one main prize and bonus in the Contest. However, participants are allowed to create and submit as many posts as they wish to increase their chances of winning. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by JetBrains.

d) The following categories of people are NOT eligible to enter the Contest:

i) Employees, or their family members or close associates, of JetBrains s.r.o. or its subsidiaries, affiliates, or resellers.

4) NATURE OF THE CONTEST AND SELECTION OF WINNERS

a) Goal. The purpose of the Contest is to encourage participation in and increase awareness of JetBrains Academy. Participants are asked to share their personal stories or experiences with JetBrains Academy, aiming to highlight its value for learning and development in programming.

b) Platform. The Contest is hosted on the https://lp.jetbrains.com/jetbrains-academy-student-initiative/, which will be used for submission handling, evaluation, and management.

c) Participation. To participate in the Contest, individuals must complete the following steps:

i) Register for the Contest Participants must register by providing their full name, a link to their social media account where they plan to post their content (either a video or a text), and a valid university email address.

ii) Subscribe to JetBrains Academy account on chosen social platform Participants must subscribe to the JetBrains Academy account on the social media platform where the content will be posted. For posts on platforms such as Bilibili, Douyin, or RedNote, participants must also subscribe to the official JetBrains account on these platforms.

iii) Ensure the social media account is public The social media account must be set to public in order for JetBrains to view the post. Posts made from private accounts will not be considered.

iv) Publish content on approved platforms Content (feed, reels, not stories) should be published on one of the following platforms:

● Instagram

● YouTube

● LinkedIn

● Bilibili

● Douyin

● RedNote

v) Tag JetBrains Academy in posts When posting content, JetBrains Academy must be tagged. For posts on Bilibili, Douyin, or RedNote, the official JetBrains account should also be tagged.

5) SUBMISSION, EVALUATION CRITERIA, PRIZES

a) The Contest invites participants to showcase their unique learning journeys through two creative formats: short videos and written stories. These entries should reflect how JetBrains IDEs and educational tools have supported their path into the world of coding, computer science, or software development. The aim is to inspire others by sharing genuine experiences and celebrating personal progress. Participants should share their personal experience with JetBrains IDEs via video or a text post shared on social media:

i) Participants who share a video post on social media listed in 4.c.iv will have the chance to be selected as one of three winners of a 13″ MacBook Air M4.

ii) Participants who share a text post on social media listed in 4.c.iv will have the chance to be selected as one of five winners of a popcorn machine.

iii) The first 14 participants who register and publish a qualifying video or text post within the first two weeks will each receive a USD 50 voucher for the JetBrains Merchandise Store.

Bonus points may be awarded for entries that include in their post:

● A screenshot of a project or course completed in a JetBrains IDE,

● A photo of the participant coding in a JetBrains IDE,

● A mention of the JetBrains Student Pack.

b) Evaluation criteria All eligible submissions will be assessed by a group of JetBrains representatives based on clear qualitative criteria. The selection of winners will not involve any element of chance or random draw. Instead, entries will be evaluated according to their creativity, relevance, authenticity, effort, and compliance with the submission guidelines. Additionally, the first 14 participants' winners mentioned in 5.a.iii will be selected regardless of whether it is a video or a written post, based on the documented order of valid submissions. The evaluation process is designed to ensure a fair and thoughtful selection of winners based on merit. All decisions made by the review team will be final and are not subject to appeal.

6) PRIZES: The Contest includes non-cash prizes, in addition to certificates of winning or attendance, as described below:

a) The estimated total pool of all prizes awarded in the Contest is approximately USD $5,107. This includes three (3) Apple MacBook Air laptops (13″, M4 chip), each with an approximate retail value of USD $1,269, for a combined value of USD $3,807. In addition, five (5) winners will receive a popcorn machine, each valued at approximately USD $120, totaling USD $600 for this prize category. Furthermore, up to fourteen (14) winners will be awarded JetBrains-branded merchandise of their choice, with a maximum value of USD $50 per item, for an estimated total of USD $700.

b) All winners will be notified that they have received a prize unless they are found to have violated these Terms and Conditions.

7) TERMS OF PRIZE AWARDS:

a) All awards of prizes are subject to these Terms and Conditions. All prize values are in US dollars. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash. All the prizes cannot be transferred, assigned or substituted, except that JetBrains reserves the right to change or replace the prize at any time in its sole discretion with prize(s) of greater or comparable value. JetBrains reserves the right to cancel this Contest at any time without notice or obligation. The reporting and payment of all applicable taxes, fees, surcharges, or governmental duties of any kind arising out of or related to acceptance or use of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner of that prize. JetBrains reserves the right to retain any tax withholdings applicable under the relevant legislation. JetBrains shall not be held responsible for the availability, quality, or fulfillment of any prizes granted by entities other than JetBrains acting as the organizer.

b) Each winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, a signed copy of these Terms and Conditions, documents required under relevant tax legislation, and/or a liability/publicity release (except where prohibited by law), and shall provide any additional information required by JetBrains. Failure to provide, or any delay in providing, such requested information or documentation may result in disqualification. The return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable or repeated inability by JetBrains to contact a potential winner using the means of contact provided may result in disqualification and the selection of a different winner.

c) The prize award is open only to the winners, provided that those are not subject to comprehensive EU, U.S. or U.N. sanctions and export control restrictions, or based in the export sensitive locations such as North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Russian Federation, Belarus, the Crimea region, territories of the so-called entities of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics or non-government-controlled areas of the oblasts of Ukraine – such as the Kherson and Zaporozhye oblasts.

8) WINNER NOTIFICATION: Prize winners will be notified on November 1, 2025 via email.A winners’ list will also be posted on JetBrains’ website and may be publicized by other means at its discretion. Any party submitting an entry and entering the Contest agrees to these terms and grants JetBrains permission to publish the winner's handle in any medium such as JetBrains’ social media channels, including Reddit, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

9) INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

a) In case JetBrains makes available to participants as a part of the Contest materials, data, tools or other content - they are the property of JetBrains, its affiliates, or partners. This content may be protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Unless JetBrains gives participants written permission, they may not copy, share, modify, download, upload, publish or use any of this content for any purpose other than participation in the Contest.

b) Participants retain full ownership of any materials, content, or work results submitted as part of the Contest. However, by submitting any such content, participants grant JetBrains a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use the submitted content for any lawful purpose. This includes, without limitation, the rights to copy, display, adapt, modify, distribute, publish, translate, and create derivative works from the content, in any medium and through any channels, whether digital, print, or otherwise. JetBrains is under no obligation to use any submitted content. Participants waive any right to withdraw the license on the basis of non-use or limited use by JetBrains.

c) Participants acknowledge and agree that:

● They will not receive any compensation or payment for the submitted content;

● They do not expect the content to remain confidential;

● JetBrains may publicly display or feature submitted content alongside advertisements, promotional materials, or other public communications.

d) Each participant represents and warrants that:

● They own all rights to the content submitted;

● The content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including but not limited to intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;

● All necessary permissions, approvals, and licenses for any third-party materials included in the submission have been obtained. Upon request, participants must provide JetBrains with a copy of any documentation confirming such permissions, approvals, or licenses.

e) Any violation of the above may result in immediate disqualification from the Contest and forfeiture of any awarded prize.

10) MISCELLANEOUS:

a) JetBrains may discontinue, cancel, or reschedule the Contest for any reason or no reason, in its sole discretion. Any entries determined to violate these terms and conditions shall be void. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of this Contest (such as, by way of example but not limitation, using more than one account to endeavor to garner more than one prize), as solely determined by JetBrains, will be disqualified and their eligibility terminated. Should any portion of the Contest be, in JetBrains’ sole opinion, compromised by causes which, in the sole opinion of JetBrains, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, or submission of entries, JetBrains reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.

b) If JetBrains is prevented or hindered in any way in its administration of the Contest or its ability to deliver the prize(s) to the prizewinner(s), it may, in its sole discretion, stop the Contest and recommence it at another time under the same conditions, or select another winner.

c) JetBrains is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest, or for any technical error that may occur during the administration of this Contest. JetBrains assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, or theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, any submissions

d) PARTICIPANTS ENTER THE Contest AT THEIR OWN RISK. JETBRAINS HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, WITH RESPECT TO THE Contest. IT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO PARTICIPATION OR INABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE Contest. JetBrains assumes no responsibility for any computer, online, or telephone transmission or technical malfunctions that may occur during participation in the Contest. It is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether arising from website users, Contest participants, or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or for any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Contest submissions. JetBrains assumes no responsibility for any error, interruption, defect, or delay in operation or transmission, failures or technical malfunction of the internet, or any telephone networks or lines, computer online systems, servers, computer hardware, software, or email service providers. It is not responsible for any injury or damage to participants or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest (if applicable). Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations on liability and so the foregoing limitations may not apply to every participant.

e) To the extent permitted by the law, JetBrains will not be liable for any injury, damages, expenses, or loss whatsoever (whether direct or inconsequential) to persons or property because of any person entering the Contest or accepting or using any prize, including, without limitation, non-receipt of any prize or damage to any prize in transit.

f) The Contest and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York; by entering the Contest, participants agree that these laws are applicable to them, and all participants agree to personal jurisdiction and venue therein. g) These terms and conditions constitute the final, complete, and exclusive understanding between JetBrains and any entrant with respect to the entrant's participation in the Contest, and supersede any prior or contemporaneous representations, rules, or agreements, whether written or oral. JetBrains reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, at its sole discretion, by publishing the updated version on the website. h) In the event of any disputes regarding the Contest, including eligibility, conduct, or prize awards, the decision of JetBrains shall be final and binding. JetBrains reserves the right to interpret these Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion.

11) PRIVACY NOTICE: To participate in the Contest, the processing of personal data is necessary, and the following data will be processed for each participant: name/nickname, surname, e-mail address, delivery address of the winner (if applicable) for a period of three months after the end of the Contest.
