The tuition fee is €6,000 per year. Accommodation fees vary from €2,000 to €6,000 per year, depending on the type chosen. The plans include a single or shared room and a private or shared bathroom.

• Recursion and induction: Chapter 3 of the Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science book.
• Algorithms: Unit 1 of the Computer Science course at Khan Academy.
• Any programming language, focusing on input/output, variables, functions, and loops. Perhaps the easiest programming language to get up to speed with is Python. The recommended material is the Python Basics course at Coursera.

We expose students to various programming languages, including C, C++, Haskell, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Python. However, our primary focus is not on teaching the syntax of each language but rather on understanding their underlying paradigms, ideas, and styles. We believe that language is a tool, and it is essential for students to be familiar with a variety of tools so they can choose the right one for a specific task. By discussing the paradigms and principles behind different programming languages, we help students develop a solid foundation in programming concepts, enabling them to adapt quickly to new languages and technologies as they emerge.

You can explore various career options with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and artificial intelligence (CSAI). We expect all applicants to have a strong background in high school mathematics and know the basics of at least one programming language. We expect you to take this automatically graded testbefore you apply to ensure that your skill level meets at least the minimum requirements for the program. It consists of nine problems, and you will be asked to work on them for two hours without stopping. If you can solve at least six problems, then the program perfectly matches you. If you can only solve up to four, you may find the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence program too challenging.

All courses are taught in English.

The program includes many mathematics courses for several reasons. Two most important reasons are that mathematics education develops:

• A strong foundation: A deep understanding of mathematical principles is crucial for grasping more advanced concepts in computer science and AI. For topics like linear regression and deep learning, understanding the underlying mathematics is necessary for developing and fine-tuning models. With the rapid development of modern technologies such as GitHub Сopilot and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, it is likely that machines will write code and solve many other technical problems in the near future. Therefore, university graduates must be able to generate ideas, correctly set up technical tasks while taking into account theoretical limitations, and accurately check the results.
• Problem-solving: Mathematics enhances critical thinking and analytical skills, which are essential for computer science and AI professionals. Additionally, students will develop a robust theoretical understanding of concepts central to computer science and AI by studying mathematical courses. This knowledge will be instrumental in cultivating their ability to design and implement efficient solutions to real-world problems.

By completing the bachelor’s program, you will gain practical skills that are highly valued on the job market, establish a strong foundation of knowledge for job interviews, and have the opportunity to engage with a supportive community of peers and industry professionals.
