Courses and Materials
We encourage you to brush up on the basics of the following topics. Each topic includes a link to online resources where you can study and test your knowledge with automatically graded quizzes.
Recommended materials:
- Logarithms: Unit 8 of the Algebra 2 course at Khan Academy.
- Trigonometry: Unit 11 of the Algebra 2 course at Khan Academy.
- Combinatorics and discrete probability: Unit 3 of the Precalculus course at Khan Academy.
- Limits: Unit 10 of the Precalculus course at Khan Academy.
- Recursion and induction: Chapter 3 of the Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science book.
- Algorithms: Unit 1 of the Computer Science course at Khan Academy.
- Any programming language, focusing on input/output, variables, functions, and loops. Perhaps the easiest programming language to get up to speed with is Python. The recommended material is the Python Basics course at Coursera.

Check your skills using our automatically graded test
Please note that the preparatory test is not the same as the entrance test. Its purpose is to give you an idea of your potential performance on the actual entrance test. Even if you excelled on the preparatory test, you are still required to take the official entrance test.
