1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (referred to as the "Terms") form an agreement by and between an individual natural person (or legal representative), you (the "Participant", "you") and JetBrains s.r.o., a private limited company incorporated and existing under the laws of Czech Republic, with its registered office at Na Hřebenech II 1718/8, 140 00 Prague, Czech Republic, Company ID No.: 265 02 275, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipality Court in Prague, Section C, File 86211 ("JetBrains", “we”), under which you may participate in the online coding competition called “JetBrains Blackbox Cup” (“Event”).
The Event is a competition for individuals designed for school students, university students, and professionals passionate about programming. You must be at least 16 years of age in order to participate in the Event. By registering for the Event, you agree to these Terms.

Event Format: The Event will consist of a 5-hour online competition with two leagues:
Communication: All communication with participants will be conducted via email and the Discord platform. The use of the Discord platform is governed by their own terms. Participants will also receive their access credentials for the dedicated Event platform via an email sent directly from the dedicated Event platform (link to the dedicated Event platform will be provided later).
3. Cheating and Misconduct Policy
Participants are expected to compete with integrity and respect towards fellow competitors, JetBrains, and experts.
Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or dishonest conduct is strictly prohibited. JetBrains reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including but not limited to:
4. Personal Data
Collection and Use: The personal data collected during registration will be used solely for the purposes of organizing the Event, communicating important information, and, if consent is given, sending newsletters and updates related to JetBrains Academy.
Consent Management: By submitting the registration form, Participants acknowledge that their personal data will be processed in accordance with the purposes explained above. Participants can manage their consent preferences by contacting JetBrains directly or, where available, using an unsubscribe link in each email. Upon request, Participants will be unsubscribed from future communications.
Privacy Notice: The processing of personal data will adhere to the JetBrains privacy notice, ensuring the protection of Participants' information.
5. Rewards
All Participants will receive certificates of participation. Certificates of achievement may be awarded to a limited number of Participants following a comprehensive and reasonable evaluation process, based on criteria and rules established by JetBrains.
6. Export Control
Any Participant must comply with all applicable laws and regulations with regard to economic sanctions, export controls, import regulations, restrictive measures, and trade embargoes (all herein referred to as “Sanctions”), including those of the European Union and the United States. Participants declare and warrant that they are not a person targeted by Sanctions, nor they are otherwise owned or controlled by or acting on behalf of any entity or person targeted by Sanctions. Participants agree that they will not download or otherwise export or re-export any related technical data directly or indirectly to any person targeted by Sanctions or download or otherwise use any data for any end use prohibited or restricted by Sanctions.
JetBrains shall not provide, directly or indirectly, any products, services, or funds to any person or entity that is subject to any sanctions or trade restrictions. JetBrains will immediately reject or exclude any participants ordinarily incident (such as located or residing) in the territories subject to export control or sanctions restrictions. The territories subject to export control or sanctions restrictions include North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Russian Federation, Belarus, Crimea region of Ukraine, territories of the so-called entities of Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republic or other annexed territories of Ukraine – such as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Participants are required to cooperate with JetBrains in their efforts to ensure compliance with Export Control laws.
7. Changes and Cancellations
JetBrains reserves the right to modify the Event's format, schedule, or rules, or cancel the Event, at any time without prior notice. Participants will be informed of any significant changes through their provided contact email.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, with disputes subject to resolution in the applicable courts of Prague.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for the Event, Participants acknowledge they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
